Who You Gonna Call?

Extremely happy to read today that Bill Murray has finally agreed to sign on for Ghost Busters III.  Dan Ankroid has been saying for years that a new installment was just right around the corner… taping looks to start this summer!

According to Hollywood.com, after reading the current draft of the script, Murray allegedly contacted co-star Harold Ramis to confirm he was willing to do a third one.

Ramis reportedly said:

“Just out of nowhere, I get a phone call from Bill at almost three in the morning on Thursday and he simply said, ‘Yeah, ok, I’m in.’ That’s Bill Murray for you. Surprising and straight to the point.”

Ghostbusters 3 was already in pre-production and reports suggest it was going to go ahead with or without Bill Murray.  Heard a while back that Murray was interested in the idea of doing a third one – especially after reading an early draft of the script last year.

I’ll believe it when I start seeing the promos, but this is definitely a positive sign for Ghostbuster fans!
