Victor Newman is Young and the Restless. Will the show be able to go on without him?
After nearly 30 years as Victor Newman, Eric Braeden had quit Y&R because of a nasty salary dispute with the show’s owner, Sony.
Victor was expected to die on November 2nd. Along with thousands of other fans, I was very upset about the thought of no more Victor Newman. I’ve been watching Y&R for the last few years, and I seriously cannot imagine the show without “The Mustache”.
Victor’s storylines have always been my favorite in the show. Sure, he’s had his up and downs of being a good guy and a bad guy, but that’s why I love his character so much! He’s so interesting.

I am so sad that the good/evil Victor is leaving. The show will not be the same without him. I will keep watching just to see how it goes without him. Will Adam become the new Victor?

I am so disappointed that Victor is leaving. The show won’t be the same without him. They need to get rid of Adam instead of Victor. It will truly change the show.

Adam the new Victor? Oh I hope not! I CAN’T STAND Adam! I don’t like his character at all, and I honestly don’t think that the new Adam is a good actor either. I agree with Stephanie, get rid of him!

I TOO..WISH THAT ADAM WOULD DIE…BUT A CHARACTER LIKE ADAMS WOULD REALLY CREATE SOME REALLY INTERESTING EPISODES….I THOUGHT ADAM WOULD BE GONE LONG AGO BUT…..I ALSO THOUGHT MY HEMAROIDS WOULD BE GONE TOO….LOL

you never know…they could have “Victor” come back as another actor…he could get into some sort of accident that would mess up his face to leave it open for another one to step in. they’ve done that before on other soaps.

I can’t/won’t believe this is really going to happen. He may “die” but for how long. I am in hopes that they will work something out with the negotiations in the 9th hour, like they have done with other big soap stars! I don’t see Y&R going off the air, especially since it is the #1 rated soap, but it will take a licken!!So, keep your fingers crossed fans for a last minute renegotiation!

That made my morning to know that Victor isn’t leaving. I don’t get to watch as much as I would like to. We used to listen in the office but when they switched over to HD we can’t pick it up on our radio’s anymore so now we have to watch at night on soapnet. I hope Nikki doesn’t fall back into his trap now that he is staying.

OH, I am glad he is staying for another 3 years, and I am tickled pink that Victor and Nikki are headed back together for now it seems. Life is good again!

I wanted Victor and Nikki to work things out quickly whenever I thought he was going to be dying, because I don’t want Ashley to have the ranch. But now that I know he’s staying around for a while I think Nikki should take her time. I just can’t see her with anybody else. (However, I could see Victor with anyone!)
