Your kids can be a part of this long running, Clear 99 morning show tradition! Kids can do the pledge by themselves, with a friend, sibling or as a group. There are a couple of ways to hear your kids saying The Pledge of Allegiance on Clear 99:

1.  Record an mp3 or video of your child and email it to scottyandcara@zrgmail.com or upload it to Scotty & Cara’s Facebook page.  The ‘Voice Memos’ app on the iPhone works great or we can always take the audio off of a video too.

2.  Have us record it over the phone. Just call us on the listener lines 449-KCLR or 1-800-455-KCLR(5257), and when your child is ready, he/she can say the pledge over the phone while we record it. (Some times of the morning show are busier than others, but if you call between 6a-10am, we ought to be able to get it done.)

3.  Record it to a cassette, and mail it or drop it by the station, 3215 Lemone Industrial Blvd., Suite 200, Columbia, MO 65201.

“I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

Regarding the pledge of alligance – can you use an I-phone or a digital camera to send it to you?

Yeah that would be fine! We should be able to get the audio off of it, as long as it is loud enough.

I am the President of the 4-H Senior Council here in Boone County. I have a question. National 4-H week is October 3 – 9. I was wondering if the club’s in Boone County could reserve that Monday through Friday, October 4-8 to have a different club recite the pledge of allegience that week. The clubs will be holding their first meeting for the new year in September and told them to go ahead and tape their club so we will have it ready to submit if you agree.

One more request from the Council would be to play the 4-H pledge at least once during the week after the pledge is recited. I told them I didn’t know if that would be possible but would ask. Thanks. Brenda
