Teresa, Teresa Davis, T.D.
Sports-a-holic, Inventive, Clever
Teresa is originally from St. Louis where she began her long and eventful journey towards Clear 99. At the ripe age of 10, she was announcing her brother’s little league baseballs games where she was paid in hotdogs, peanuts, and cracker jacks.
After her glory days in the baseball park, she worked at KWWR in Rolla, and eventually made it to Clear 99. Teresa realized her passion for radio by listening in, but paying more attention to the disc jockey than the actual music.
She is an avid concert-goer her first being to see Elvis Presley, but her most memorable concert was Garth Brook at the Missouri State Fair in 1991. He wasn’t very well known and came out running around on stage, climbing the light pole, and throwing water on everyone. She could barely talk for days after.
When she’s not at concerts losing her voice or On Air, Teresa loves going to Baseball Heaven aka Busch Stadium.
Once when Teresa asked a listener, who won $10,000, what she was going to do with the money. The listener replied, “Get some new teeth.”
Years ago, during the Gulf War, Teresa hosted “Davis Dedications” which was an opportunity for many loved ones to dedicate a song to their husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend who was serving overseas. She says this was one of her more powerful moments On Air.
