Scotty – I wanted to let you know that we’re planning another Ride With Carl for Sam on Wednesday, July 14th. Details are the same as last year. Walt’s Bike and Fitness at 9:00 for registration, $50 suggested donation. Helmets are required for riders. Non riders are invited but will need to donate and register to get photos, autographs etc from Carl. We will take off for McBaine at approximately 10:00 am. This year, my son Sam will join us on the ride. He has an amazing hand bike. Send off for the Gateway Riders will be around 11:00 in McBaine at the trailhead. The Belly Brothers Competition BBQ team will be joining efforts with Gerbes on Paris Rd. to raise money for the Missouri Honor Flights.
We are an award winning BBQ team that has won Best BBQrs in Boone County 3 out of the last 4 years. So far this season we have one 2 Grand Champions, Reserve Grand and a 3rd place. We have been cooking together as a team for about 6 years. We have worked hard in raising money for a lot of charitable organizations and this is a great cause we wanted to be a part of.
We will set up our BBQ prep trailer to sale BBQ sandwiches and dinners out of on August 5th and 6th from 4 pm till 7 pm and on August 7th from 11 am till 6 pm or until it runs out. All the money raised from the award winning BBQ at Gerbes for this 3 day event will be given to the Missouri Honor Flights.
We will be on the North side of the Building. I would like to take this chance to invite your listeners to come by eat some Award winning BBQ and help the vets see his or her Memorial.
