Mizzou Student on Jeopardy

MU senior, Laura Myers took 3rd in Jeopardy’s College Championship!

Laura took 3rd in the Jeopardy College Championships! The winner was from Missouri too! St. Louisan, Patrick Tucker won $100,000! Patrick is a political science major at the University of Notre Dame and a graduate of St. Louis Priory School.

On Laura’s first “Jeopardy!” appearance, she defeated opponents from the University of Kansas and Ohio State.

“When I learned I was going to be on the show, my friends asked, ‘What if there’s a student from Kansas on the show?’ ” Laura said. When she saw her opponent in a blue sweatshirt, “I was like, ‘Are you kidding me?’ ”

Afterward Laura joked, “OK, I beat Kansas; I can go home.”

We’re so proud to have had Laura represent Mizzou on Jeopardy. She did a great job. See Laura’s stats on Jeopardy.

Laura won $29,900! Also, Laura graduated this year from the MU School of Journalism. She’s planning to intern with Bloomberg News or Smart Money magazine in New York.
