“The House that Built Me” is the follow up to Miranda’s career first number one hit “White Liar.” Both songs are from her album, Revolution which won 2010 ACM Album of the Year.

Thankfully, the first time I heard this song I was alone at work on a Saturday. I stopped what I was doing and listened to this new song very carefully, not knonwing it was going to reduce me to tears! If it had been a time when my office was full, I would have had a hard time explaining why I was crying so hard!
This song reminds me so much of my both my childhood home and my grandparents home(which sat side by side). My grandparents home was recently torn down and we must pass by where it stood and my childhood home as well when we go to church each Sunday. While it is hard to do, Miranda’s song makes it a little easier each time. I love this song! Thanks Miranda!
