If you’ve listened to the Clear 99 “Country Cares for Kids” Radiothon, you know the story of Jill Zulovich.
In January 2004, Jill was diagnosed with a malignant rhabdoid tumor (type of cancer) which was wrapped around her spine. One week later, Joe & Joyce Zulovich were at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with their little girl. After surgery and many rounds of chemotherapy & radiation therapy at
St. Jude’s, Jill came back home to Columbia as a normal, active child. Her recovery was and is a true miracle.
Now she’s going to Washington to play Tee Ball on the White House lawn. Fifty-one Tee Ball players from all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia have been selected to play at the White House in the first Tee Ball on the South Lawn All-Star Game, set for July 16.
“Can you believe this???? and doctors told us she wouldn’t survive and if she did, she’d be paralyzed…”, Joyce wrote in an email accompanying the good news.
If you’ve donated to St. Jude’s, pat yourself on the back. Your generosity helped a little girl from Columbia MO get to play America’s game on the lawn of America’s big white house. Hit a home run Jill! Wait, she’s already done that.
If you’d like to send best wishes to Jill and her family, post them here in our comments section.

Got the chance to meet Jill and her family at the St. Jude’s Golf Classic, such good hearted people.
And if you didn’t know the story of Jill and watched her chasing Uncle Scotty around, you’d never know. Btw… Uncle Scotty never caught Jill or her sister while playing hide and go seek:)
The people at St. Jude’s do so much great work, this is just ONE example out of so many.
Have a GREAT time Jill!!!
