My husband got the chance to be in the motorcycle escort for the Honor Flight again last night (6/29). He said there were 200 motorcycles total and it was an awesome experience. He said there were 3 buses of veterans this time (2 last time) and he was in the group that got to lead the escort this time.
He rode with his boss who is a Marine veteran and also with State Rep. Kenny Jones and others from the Jefferson City and surrounding areas.
He even got to help with unloading the necessary wheelchairs and he was honored to help out any way he could.
He didn’t drag himself home until 2:30 am but he had such a good time that he didn’t mind getting up at 7am and heading off for a full day of work.

I’ve heard nothing except praise and admiration for the Honor Flights. I’ve heard the veterans say this is something they will never forget. I’m taking an application to my Dad in hopes he’ll get the chance to take one of these flights soon. Thanks Clear 99!

My husband rode with the group of motorcycles that met the Hwy Patrol vehicles and the buses carrying the veterans and escorted them to St. Louis for the ceremony and flight out. They were able to honor the vets with their escort and someone told them the vets were very touched. He said it was an amazing experience and hopes to do it again soon.

CLEAR 99 Thank you for letting your country listeners know about the Honor Flight to honor our silent Heros. I know they dont want the attention but please let one of our heros make it to see the Memorial. I made it to the mall on DDAY Post 65th anniversary and it was very moving for me and my family. Its a must to see for our vets before they pass on.

My son went with a group of motorcycle riders a week or so ago to Kingdom City to meet the last group that came back and they “escorted” the bus back to the Executive Center–said it was awesome to do so and that the number of cars/trucks that honked, flashed lights or just pulled over out of the way in honor of these men and women was amazing!!! What an outstanding way to honor and thank those that have given so much for our freedoms!!!

This is so amazing! My grandfather gets to go on the flight on the 19th! My mother and I are going to be at the hotel at 3 am to see him off. Hope others will join us and show your support! Thanks again to those who made this possible! A true blessing for our family.

Just to let you know, The Cattlemen Days Rodeo in Ashland this year is Honoring Our Military Heros.
We will be initiating a fundraiser to support the Honor flights.
We will also be asking for past and present Military members to ride in our parade. The rodeo is August 27 and 28 this year.
