Have you heard about Pillow Talk? It’s a ring that wirelessly transmits your pulse to your significant other through a pillow insert, so when you lay down to go to sleep you can feel their heart beat!

What a sweet idea. Cheesy, but very sweet. I actually think I might get these for me and Shanon (aka: boyfriend that lives in LA). They still aren’t available for purchase yet, but the website says they hope to be available soon.

Christmas Cookie Day

Every year all the girls on my mom’s side of the family come over a couple weeks before Christmas and we bake a TON of cookies, like hundreds!

There’s lots of eating, laughing and baking. I actually tend to learn a couple things every year too. For example, I learned how to making icing from scratch and that wax paper shouldn’t go in the oven… (whoops!)

This year my best friend Andrea and her daughter Hayli came too! Andrea learned a couple things at Christmas Cookie Day too, like how much sugar cookie dough can really spread when it’s baking… notice the gigantic weirdly shaped cookie on the left. haha

It’s a messy and fun day! It’s been a tradition for years, and I’m sure we’ll carry it on for many years to come. Does your family do similar type of holiday traditions?

Beware. If you REALLY REALLY don’t want to have to upgrade your phone in the next few months, don’t watch the video below. P.S. Rumor has it, the iPhone 5 will go on sale on Friday, October 7, with preorders to start on September 30.

Gullible Girl Alert! Kyle on Scotty & Carissa in the Morning Facebook Page just informed me that the video is actually just a concept, just some Apple fan’s dream iPhone 5. Read the article here. Whew! Even though that phone in the video is awesome looking, I’m actually kinda relieved it isn’t true. It was a little too advanced for me to wrap my brain around it! Thanks again for the heads up Kyle.

This poor guy thought he was doing such a good service by reporting about what he thought was sea foam from Hurricane Irene. Turns out that green foamy stuff that’s all over him was later identified by MyFOXNY as “probably the remnants of raw sewage.” Now that’s nasty. I feel bad for the dude.

Poor Baby Buffalo

Teresa showed Scotty & I this video today that she saw on Dateline last night. This baby water buffalo gets attacked by lions, then a crocodile, and THEN gets rescued by his buffalo family. If you like wild animal videos, you’ll like this one. It’s powerful.
